How long have you been working at Formation?
I started with a 3-month internship in 2021 while I was majoring in Environmental Management and Protection at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I expected to be making coffee and running errands, but on the very first day I sat down at my own desk and started working with team members on ‘real’ work!
After graduation, I reached out about employment opportunities, and was thankful to join the team again in 2023. It didn’t take long for me to be fully integrated into several projects.

Describe what a typical day looks like for you.
A typical day involves leading or attending project status meetings; collaborating with database managers, GIS analysts, hydrogeologists, geochemists, biologists, environmental scientists and engineers to prepare data tables, graphs, maps and reports for various projects; writing technical reports and reviewing reports prepared by others; responding to requests from the client; and tracking the progress, schedule and budget for the projects that I manage.
